Have you ever wanted to wear that beautiful and trendy bodysuit only to ask yourself “What would I wear that with?” You are not alone, but among many who have felt this same exact way. If you have felt this emotion, or if you’re tall with a longer torso you may have already given up on bodysuits entirely due to the tight fit in the crotch area or any area at all. The other issue is once you do find that perfect bodysuit with a perfect fit is knowing when and where to wear the piece.
Often we may overthink new styles preventing us from trying new options and venturing out of our comfort zone. Knowing how to style the bodysuit is half the battle, having the courage to wear it and break free from your traditional dress habits will take confidence, bravery, and a ‘don’t care what others think’ attitude. Your clothing can give you freedom to have expression. When options are unlimited, the expression through clothing becomes easier to create. The easiest styling option is pairing the bodysuit with jeans, pants, or your favorite skirt. My two favorite articles of clothing to pair with a bodysuit include pencil skirts and circle skirts as they emphasize and silhouette the curves.

In the look I picked for today’s feature I am wearing a custom designed bodysuit from the plus size designer ARTTwear. I have paired the bodysuit with a skater style pleather skirt from Torrid to create a 50s vibe with a touch of modern flair. Next time you find yourself putting that bodysuit back on the rack keep in mind the multiple ways you can pair this look and try to visualize yourself in the bodysuit and different style pairings. Next time you see that bodysuit online or hanging on the rack tell yourself “Go for it girl!” and create a fun, new, and daring look!
