Athleisure packs an attitude and a punch. The trend is gaining traction in plus size fashion circles, with celebrities and influencers rejecting the notion that “polished” and “ladylike” are the only acceptable ways to dress larger bodies. Athleisure is about incorporating sporty elements into your everyday look. Zip-ups, track pants, sneakers, and slides are popular styles. As are elements like racing stripes, geometric prints, and saturated colors.
The key to athleisure is mixing elegant and athletic, sexy and sporty. Athleisure is for everyday life – your work and your play – not the gym. Sweats don’t necessarily mean sloppy, and plus size women can sport them too.
