Veronica Belle was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) after gaining over 30 pounds in three months. “I was experiencing a lot of changes with my body that were extremely difficult both mentally and physically,” said Belle. “For years I dealt with a lot of self-confidence issues. I was trying to learn how to live with this new body of mine – until I discovered modeling.”
Belle always had an interest in modeling but never thought it was attainable. She thought she was “too fat”. Since beginning her modeling career, she had the amazing opportunity to walk the runway in fashion shows. She has been published in magazines. Worked as a model for local and global companies, and meet and befriend uplifting people around the world through events and social media.
For Belle, an average week is crazy busy. “I think anyone who is an entrepreneur or owns their own business knows what this is like,” she explained. “You have to put in time and money to build your brand. There’s no nine to five, it’s kind of 24/7.”
One of the most important things for Belle in modeling is having a strong girl gang. Befriending fellow models (and photographers), collaborating together, uplifting each other, and generally having each other’s back has made her modeling experience great. “Like they say, real queens fix each other’s crowns. Never underestimate the power of that in life,” she said.
Belle is still on her self-love journey. “I still deal with all of the symptoms of my PCOS but I know who I am. I know that I’m fierce and I’m not going to let those things get in the way of me living my best life!”
