Inside Lisa’s Closet
The holidays – that joyous time of year where we as women run around like crazy people: buying gifts, sending Christmas cards, taking family photos, baking, cooking family feasts, attending kids’ concerts, making sure the family has cute outfits, and coordinating busy social calendars. I am sure I have missed several things but you get the idea! So I understand how trying to find the time to buy yourself a fabulous look to wear over the holidays can be a daunting task. But don’t worry, I have some great ideas for you that I hope will inspire you to take a little time for yourself, and remember that you deserve it.
While I like to have fun with fashion all year long I realize that not everyone does. That’s why I love the fashion that comes out for the holidays. It’s that one time of year where we can all indulge in rich vibrant colours, sequins, sparkle, shine, ribbons, and bows as well as decadent textures and fabrics like fur, tulle, velvet, satin, brocade, and lace. And you can add a little or a lot to make the outfit your own.
This year we are definitely seeing an abundance of decadence and the options for plus sizes have never been greater. I am personally like a little kid in a candy store right now seeing everything that is coming out. Don’t have a fancy party to go to or don’t like to dress up? That’s no problem either as there are plenty of options for a more casual look. We are seeing pieces like velvet joggers, embellished denim, luxe sweaters with sparkle, and satin jewel-toned bombers that would be perfect for a more laid-back affair.
To all my loyal followers and supporters I wish you a wonderful holiday season full of joy and self-love! Tag me @mustangsallytwo so I can see all your fabulous holiday-inspired looks! Lisa xoxo
