Happy Model Monday, everyone! We’re so excited to bring you Jade Spicer. Jade is a runway model and blogger! She’s also one of our fabUffiliates!
“I do print modeling and occasionally runway modeling. I started modeling in St. Louis, MO. My friend who is also a plus sized model told me about a plus size modeling organization here in St. Louis and from there I started being in a few shows such as the Dangerous Curves fashion show and photoshoots such as Curve Watch community in St. Louis.” – Jade Spicer
Jade’s full time job is as a model. An average work week for her is a full  40 hours. She’s living the dream!

fabUplus Magazine: Describe your personal style. What are some of your signature colors, styles, and accessories?
Jade Spicer:  I would describe my personal style has a chic, bohemian, vintage and sexy just a mixture of styles. My signature color is yellow, but I do love red, hunter green, navy blues and neon colors. I love chic, bohemian and vintage styles the most, but sometimes a little grunge style as well. The accessories I wear are hats, earrings, bracelets, different styles of purses and watches.
fabUplus Magazine: If you could go back in time and give yourself advice as a little girl, what would you tell her?
Jade Spicer: I would tell her that you are so beautiful, keep your head held high, do not
worry about what others think of you. You are the beautiful inside and out! Stop
comparing yourself to the other little girls and that God made us different in our own
beautiful way. Finally, anything you put your heart into you can do it!
fabUplus Magazine: What does life look like for you outside of blogging or modeling (day job, hobbies, family life, etc)?
Jade Spicer: My day job is a CT technologist at a local hospital here in Saint
Louis, MO. The hobbies I love to do are reading, traveling, adventurous eating,
cooking, blogging, journaling, and visiting museums.
fabUplus Magazine: What are your goals and dreams as an influencer or model? What
accomplishments are you most proud of?
Jade Spicer: My goals for being a model is showing women who are not bottled shaped and who are not a size 20 and below that we are beautiful, fashionable and confident in anything we wear and being that model who is a size 24 on the clothing website and the shopper being able to recognize what that outfit will look like on her body. My dream is to become a print or cover model for Torrid, Eloquii, PLUS Model Magazine and sign with Dorothy Combs Models Agency. However, my biggest dream is to be a role model for the little girls that believe they are not beautiful enough for this ugly world, but I want to show them that in a world full of hatred that they are beautiful and anything they dream of they can do it! What I am most proud of is following my dreams into modeling, blogging, and the proudest accomplishment is finding my confidence.
fabUplus Magazine: What does beauty mean to you?
Jade Spicer: Beauty to me means unique, because every one of
us is unique in our own way. Beauty is not a certain size, color or fashion sense it is
your own uniqueness.
fabUplus Magazine: How has your body image and self-esteem changed over the years?
Jade Spicer: It has changed tremendously over the past few years, but these last 5 months has astounded me so much! I am immensely proud of where I am now in my self-esteem and body image journey! Every day I look in the mirror and I tell my body how much I love every single flaw, roll, and stretch mark it has.
fabUplus Magazine: What can readers expect next – do you have anything exciting you would like to share with us?
Jade Spicer: I will soon be the newest plus size blogger! My first blog will be
coming out soon!
