Jenna Lee started out modeling as an antidote to her insecurity. Her Instagram page was the way to face up to her fears and deal with confidence issues in a very public way.  This developed into photographers getting in touch with her for photo shoots and everything blossoming from there. It has been quite a journey.

It has been a sharp learning curve for Jenna to discover how to model. She has spent many hours in front of the mirror to understand how her body looks when she in on the catwalk and in print. Add to this the feedback from the photographers she has modeled for and she has been able to get better and better at what she does. Her top tip for any aspiring model is to listen to the photographer as they give their input and you will soon learn a great deal about modeling.

Jenna grew into the confidence levels needed to be a model and she puts this down to being positive and understanding that it was a process- it wouldn’t happen overnight but she was fine with that. There are still days when she doesn’t feel as confident as others but Jenna knows that if she celebrates the small victories that come her way then there will be better days along in the near future.

Being a plus size runway model was quite a novelty when Jenna started out but she has been a trailblazer and led the way for many others to follow in her footsteps. She is an inspiration for others to be confident about the person they are and the skin that they are in. The way that Jenna has faced all of this is with the attitude that size does not dictate beauty. And that is something that we can all carry with us.

Success as a model isn’t easy. Success for a plus size model is even rarer so we should celebrate every plus size model that is out there showing the world that size doesn’t matter. Here is to an even brighter future for Jenna!
