There was so much fabulous fashion in this year’s Full Figured Fashion Week that we just couldn’t squeeze it all into one article! Be sure to enjoy Pandemic, Shmandemic; Full Figured Fashion Week MUST Go On, Part 1 (Include the link here) if you missed it!

Saturday, June 27th, was a very busy day, starting with Marie Denee’s (https://www.instagram.com/mariedenee/) workshop, “Beyond Traditional Marketing: How to Dominate Your Digital Space”. Marie is the Editor-in-Chief of The Curvy Fashionista (https://www.instagram.com/thecurvyfashionista/), known as “The Plus Size Fashion Resource”, the most popular and influential plus size blogger to date, and she generously bestowed many of the practical and actionable secrets of her success to a fortunate few.

The spirit of education continued with Model Workshops for both plus size women and Big & Tall men. Moderated by Monica Day (https://www.instagram.com/monica_thekurvydiva/), host of The Plus Report (https://www.instagram.com/theplusreport/), and Kirklan Hawes, blogger of XL Tribe (https://www.instagram.com/xltribe/), aspiring models from all over the world could, for the first time, learn from the best without leaving their own homes, soaking up the expertise of modeling masters Jeannie Ferguson (https://www.instagram.com/plusmodjeannief/), Kristin Schackmann (https://www.instagram.com/kristinleighxo1/), Chasity Saunders (https://www.instagram.com/chasitysaunders/), Wondrea Gilmore (https://www.instagram.com/wondrea/), Rob Robinson (https://www.instagram.com/builtuprealnice/), Rah Mosley (https://www.instagram.com/rah_mosley/), and Eustace Collens Jr (https://www.instagram.com/collensjr).

And, of course, all that learning next had to be put to the test with the “So You Think You Can Walk?” runway competition. Models were judged by executive producer and host at Model Behavior with Sharon Quinn, Sharon Quinn (https://www.instagram.com/origrunwaydiva/), producer, wardrobe stylist, and creative director, Reggie May (https://www.instagram.com/styleperceptionstudio/), model coach, fashion show producer, and author, Danielle Baker (https://www.instagram.com/theedaniellebaker/), plus size designer, Robert E. Knight (https://www.instagram.com/robert_e_knight/), and, of course, professional plus size models Jeannie Ferguson (https://www.instagram.com/plusmodjeannief/), Nikki Gomes (https://www.instagram.com/thenikkigomez/), and Christina Mendez (https://www.instagram.com/modelchristinamendez/). While every contestant strutted their heart out, the winners’ ribbons went to Sheena Postell (https://www.instagram.com/mspostell/) and Jonathan Davila (https://www.instagram.com/thebigguytrend/). Congratulations to all!

Finally, it was time for the designers to shine in the much-anticipated annual Indie Designer Showcase. Since there was no official catwalk this year, designers got inventive; some turned their backyards into runways, others transformed their own stores, and one even had her models cruise in the park! Robert E Knight’s (https://www.instagram.com/robert_e_knight/) African queens, Hannah Caroline Couture’s (https://www.instagram.com/hannahcarolinecouture/) stunning black bridal dress, Ibilola by Gaelle Prudencio’s (https://www.instagram.com/GaellePrudencio/) thigh high slits, Curverra’s (https://www.instagram.com/curverra/) Havanna Nights collection, Rene Tyler (https://www.instagram.com/renetylerplussize/), the first ONLY plus size boutique on the Las Vegas Strip, and Tru Diva Designs (https://www.instagram.com/trudivadesigns/) all made viewers want to rip off those sweats and get dressed to the nines, quarantine or no quarantine!

Whew! What better way to unwind after that exhausting day than a pajama party? Which is exactly what we did at the Afterglow Pajama Jam. Viewers got comfy in their favorite jammies, nightgowns, and even footed PJs and rocked the night away with special guest DJ Sasha Renee (https://www.instagram.com/sashatheglamazon/), even earning prizes for the best nightwear.

But we didn’t get that much rest because the festivities continued the next morning! Check out Pandemic, Shmandemic; Full Figured Fashion Week MUST Go On, Part 3. (Include the link here)
