From the lack of color lining the racks of major retail stores to poor sizing to lack of creativity, shopping while plus-size has always been challenging. Changing how you view your body can make all the difference in how you express yourself with fashion.

The art of being plus-size is truly about viewing larger bodies as bigger canvases to build upon fashionably, with the end result being a work of chic skill.
Pulling inspiration from art and translating that into ready-to-wear or haute couture is something that is rarely seen in plus-size fashion.

It’s time for more colors, silhouettes, and patterns. The inspiration for this shoot was originated from seeing the newly painted graffiti walls located at the Wynwood Art District, one of the most prominent artistic tourist attractions in the U.S. The walls seem to channel the late nineties, along with a bit of a rock and roll ambiance. As a result, the styling of the wardrobe has elements of both.
The clothing pieces pictured are current, trendy, and aesthetically relevant across all sizes. The mission was to dress plus-size bodies in clothing that anyone would want to wear.
Plus-size fashion is full of potential to be art, once we learn to appreciate the canvas.
