Rene Tyler has fashion running through her veins. From nail technician to salon owner, and now designer and influencer, Rene Tyler has changed the way that plus size fashion is seen. At a young age, Rene started working in all things fashion and beauty. However, she became very frustrated at the lack of stylish choices offered to plus size women. Her love for fashion, jewellery, and accessories has always run deep, but she could not find designs that flattered the full figured woman. She had to find designs that would work for her clientele, which became a challenging feat. This is where her line, Rene Tyler, was born. As a young woman, Rene struggled with her body and even went under the knife for weight loss surgery in order to deal with the way she felt she looked. This lead to a visit to the ER only to discover she had some complications as a result of the surgery. Rene’s mindset has shifted quite significantly over the years and she looks after her health now, exercising regularly to ensure that she is fit and healthy. She realized some time ago that the body she has is the one she’s got to live with and has decided to love it! Rene is a trailblazer and was there at the start of the plus size movement in LA. She hosted the first plus size show during LA Fashion Week with the Haute Curves LA Fashion show. It was a catalyst that took plus size fashion into the mainstream and gained exposure that wouldn’t have otherwise happened. What all started with Rene designing clothes for herself, has developed into this beautiful collection that she is so proud of. Rene is often inspired by what she sees celebrities wearing and has always wondered why these designs stop at size 12 or 14, so she uses this inspiration in her beautiful collection. This inclusiveness mentality is one of many reasons that FabUPlus magazine is such a big fan of the Rene Tyler line.
