Tell me about when you first started drawing. Was this something you always had an interest in?
The passion for drawing was born when I was a little girl. I had fun designing entire fashion collections and my dream was to become a fashion designer.
This passion has grown over the years and now I am able to combine what I am (curvy) with what I like to do (art).
What is it that you try to capture and portray in your artwork?
In my illustrations, I try to capture the beauty behind each curve, expression, and different body shapes.
I represent women who have accepted their body and that send a positive message to those who are still on their body positive journey, women who are an inspiration, such as plus size models and plus size fashion bloggers.
Tell me about your own personal journey to self-love.
Like many girls, I had some difficult times. I looked in the mirror and did not like me. The extra pounds systematically lowered my self-confidence.
With determination, I started taking care of my body joining Zumba classes and eating healthy food, so that the mirror was no longer my enemy. My illustrations are a great help for me because they allow me to see all the shades of plus size beauty, largely outcast, especially in Italy.
