First, run in 1839, the race is held in Aintree, Liverpool every year and stretches over 4 miles and 514 yards as well as 30 genes to clear across the two laps. A thoroughbred handicap steeplechase is a prominent event in British culture and has an average viewership of 600 million people around the world. 

 

Royal Ascot 

 

Yet another prestigious British Horse race, Royal Ascot is beloved all around the world due to the classic racing experience that it provides spectators, from the beauty of the racing to the classy dress code. 

 

The event os host tow 13 of Britain 36 Group 1 horse races in which attracts not only celebrities but also a member of the royal family have been closely linked to the event since it was opened by Queen Ann herself back in 1711. Queen Elizabeth has even been known to enter her own personal horses into the event as well as others spectating and showing their support. 

 

The Dubai World Cup 

 

On the last Saturday in March, the Dubai World Cup takes place at Maydan racecourse and is not only a spectacular displace of horse racing talent but to is known as the richest horse race in the world, with an unmatched purse of $12,000,000 million. 

 

First held in 1996, the race is a fairly new addition to the world of races, compared to others that have been going for hundreds of years, but it has made its mark with horses and jockeys from all over the world competing in the event to run on the breathtaking course and have a chance at going home with the enormous prize.
